COSMIC SHIFT The Planetary Cycles 2025 – 2026

The 5 Ingresses of generational Outer planets

The outer planets are generational; it takes many years for them to complete a complete revolution around our sun. When an outer planet changes signs, our collective unconscious begins to manifest the characteristics of the zodiac sign that the outer planet is transiting through.

The 5 planets that have recently shifted into new signs or will shortly shift are

  1. Jupiter, the largest planet in our solar system, takes 12 years to orbit the sun. It spends a year in each sign and governs morality, laws, and religion as an organization, as well as higher education and the philosophical quests of being human.
  2. Saturn is the planet that governs our limitations and the karmic lessons we must learn in this lifetime. It takes Saturn 29.4 years to orbit the Sun, spending 2.5 years in each zodiac sign.
  3. Uranus is our solar system’s odd fellow, the only planet whose equator is positioned at a right angle. It takes Uranus 84 years to orbit the Sun, and Uranus stays in a zodiac sign for about 7 years. Uranus rules technology, science, and innovation. Uranus can be contrarian, eccentric, and unpredictable.
  4. Neptune takes a whooping 165 years to complete an orbit around the sun. Neptune spends about 14 years in each zodiac sign. Neptune governs all matters pertaining to spirituality, psyche experiences, dreams, and our subconscious. This planet has an ethereal quality that can inspire creativity. Neptune is mysterious, enchanting, and elusive.
  5. Pluto takes 248 years to complete a cycle around the Sun. Pluto has been demoted from the pantheon of planetary status, classified as a dwarf planet. Due to Pluto’s unusual ecliptic orbit, it spends different lengths of time in each zodiac sign. It was recently in Capricorn for 15.5 years and will be in Aquarius for 19.5 years. Pluto, the dark ruler of the underworld, governs all taboo subjects that lie beneath the surface. Pluto presides over conversations that no one wants to have. Pluto embodies endings and the new beginnings associated with renewal or transformation. The positive expression of Pluto is rebirth and transformation; the uninvolved expression is obsession, dark desires, and dramatic upheavals. No one in our society wants to discuss death, sex, debts, power dynamics, or money.

Uranus Trine Pluto 07/18/26, 11/29/26,

The approach starts in July 2025 and lasts until May 2029. 5 exact aspects between July 2026 – May 2026  ( previously in 1921-22 rise of nazi’s )

Uranus the Master Trickster

Uranus, the seventh planet from the Sun, is a gaseous blue-green ice giant with 27 moons, 13 known rings, and is tipped on its side, rotating the opposite way Earth and most other planets turn. It takes Uranus 84 years to complete one trip around our Sun.

The Myth

Named for the Greek primordial deity Ouranos, ruler of the sky, he was created by the great mother Gaia, he is the father of Titans, Furies, Cyclopes, the fifty-headed Hectoncheires, and the goddess of love, Aphrodite.

In Greek mythology, the Ouranus/Uranus story is part of a multi-generational struggle for succession. Uranus mistreats his mother/wife, Gaia, and he is a cruel father to his offspring. Demanding absolute power and perfection, he rejects his children for being monstrous and imperfect. He refuses to allow them to exist by smothering them, pushing them back into Gaia. Eventually, he is castrated by his youngest Titan son, Kronos/Saturn. According to the Greek poet, Hesiod (700 BC), Kronos threw his father’s genitals into the ocean, and from the fertilized waters sprang the goddess Aphrodite. Kronos assumes power and suffers a similar fate as his father when, after a decade of war against his children, he is overthrown by his youngest son, Zeus/Jupiter.

Uranus is a slow-moving outer planet, spending 7/8 years in the same zodiac sign. Uranus has generational influence and only takes on personal significance when making aspects to personal planets or angles in an individual’s chart. Uranus rules in Aquarius, is in detriment in Leo, finds its exaltation in Scorpio, and Fall in the sign Taurus.

Uranus is the rebel of our solar system, associated with independence, unpredictability, unconventionality, and extremism. Uranus transits shake and rattle societal norms. Uranus paves the way for innovation by using the destruction of outdated systems as the soil to upgrade and update to newer inventions.

Uranus in Gemini: The mental gymnast or the revolutionary anarchist:

Gemini is a masculine, mutable air sign known for its duality, intellectual curiosity, and openness to new ideas and new experiences. Gemini’s natural curiosity can lead to an individual who dabbles in a variety of interests and finds it difficult to focus on just one subject. Geminis are natural communicators, make excellent teachers, writers, and excel in intellectually stimulating environments. Geminis are known for their quick-wittedness and sociability, but they can be fickle, superficial, and indecisive.

When Uranus transits in Gemini, the focus is on innovation in communication, including all forms of media, expansion of ideas, a tug-of-war of competing ideologies, and the struggle for free speech and expansion of expressions. A focus on reshaping education, transportation, technologies, and scientific discoveries. There will be discoveries and inventions that broaden our minds or connect our minds to new ways of thinking. examining new paradigms and challenging the intellectual status quo.

When the curiosity and duality of the twins of the zodiac combine with the rebellious and multifaceted nature of Uranus, the collective can experience an existential crisis. The transit can often illuminate human paradoxes, showing different versions of reality, moral contradictions, and ideological conflicts that could lead to wars.

Neptune  ( see separate post to learn more)

3/30/25 Neptune entered into Aries. On 07/4/2025, Neptune will go retrograde. On 10/22/25, Neptune falls back into Pisces until January 26, 2026, when it will re-enter Aries and remain for the next 14 years until March 2039.

July 4, 2025, Neptune stations retrograde, goes direct on 12/10/25.

Important aspects

Neptune Aries sextile Pluto Aquarius  07/25/26, 09/16/26.

Neptune will be transiting in Aries for the next 14 years. Aries is a fire sign, masculine, cardinal, and ruled by the warrior god Mars, making this sign action-oriented, competitive, and impatient. The Aries journey revolves around self-awareness, discovering who you are, and becoming a self-actualized, confident individual.

Looking at the timeline of Neptune in Aries, some interesting themes emerged. The timeline is filled with religious scandals and ideological schisms that led to reforms. The catholic church has a significant number of events happening while Neptune transits in Aries. New ideologies about religion and human rights take hold, fermenting uprisings, civil wars, and revolutions. Bold actions by individuals willing to take risks to spread religious doctrines, challenge the economic status quo, and break long-held institutional power.

Neptune in Aries will favor those who are bold, enterprising, and willing to break barriers and go on new spiritual adventures. I would expect that religions and spirituality, in general, will experience new expressions, possibly new spiritual movements, or religious orders. Like previous transits, there will be schisms, scandals, and reforms.

There will be a focus on world leadership, with ruthless dictators and charismatic hero figures emerging. Aries seeks to take action and can be impulsive, while Neptune prefers to go with the flow; this combination may lead to unrealistic, misguided expectations and goals. Neptune rules artistic expression, while transiting in Aries’s art, music, and fashion will be bold, edgy, challenging, and embrace individualism.

Pluto in Aquarius November 2024 for 19.5 years

The last time that Pluto was in Aquarius was from 1778 to 1798. When we want to see how an outer planet, such as Pluto, will manifest when it enters a new sign, we look to see what happened the last time the planet transited in that sign. A quick look at The Timetables of History from 1777 to 1798 chronicles several events that would change the destiny of humanity. Both the American and French revolutions would inspire other countries to break free from monarchies. Serfdom was abolished in Bohemia, Hungary, Denmark, Russia, and France abolished slavery. In Western Europe and the Americas, enlightened thinkers, Quakers, and evangelical religious groups began the abolition movement to try and dismantle slavery. The zeitgeist of this period favored the overthrow of monarchies. The expansion focused on the dignity of human rights. This twenty-year period also saw the invention of the hot air balloon, steam engines, the cotton gin, and the smallpox vaccine.

A little about Aquarius ~ The Water Bearer – Sharing Life Force

The constellation Aquarius is represented by the Babylonian myth of the Water Bearer dipping her vase of water into the Nile River, causing the river to flood, announcing the beginning of Spring, a celebration of growth and renewal for the Babylonians. Without water, there can be no life on earth; “water is life.” Water is vital for all living beings; it is a simple molecule, and its unique properties support all animals and plants. The Water Bearer archetype suggests that Aquarians share with humanity life-giving powers.

Aquarians are a powerful force for change. They are inquisitive and intellectual, but they can also be stubborn and fixed in their opinions. Naturally inventive, they require constant mental stimulation; without it, they may become directionless and unmotivated. Aquarians have a strong urge to reinvent, innovate, revolutionize, modernize, reform, and challenge outdated social norms and restrictions. Representing humanism, Aquarius is considered the Visionary of the Zodiac.

Aquarius is ruled by Saturn and Uranus. Saturn is rigid and conventional and supports traditional hierarchal societal structures. Uranus resists the status quo and thrives on pushing boundaries and being disruptive. When Aquarius is in Saturn mode, it seeks to control, dominate and limit. When Aquarius is in Uranus mode, it seeks to liberate, innovate, and challenge authority. Sometimes, Aquarius can express both rulers at the same time. A transit through Aquarius can be filled with unexpected outcomes.

Revolution in the Air – The End of Empires and Imperialism

Pluto is known to influence the collective unconscious and has the power to transform global politics and economics. As Pluto transitions from the hierarchical focus of Capricorn to the egalitarian aspirations of Aquarius, geopolitical events are expected to shift from supporting traditional bureaucratic institutions to emphasizing significant reforms in social structures. This shift will likely occur through political activism aimed at expanding public rights, with a strong focus on equality and humanitarianism.

When Aquarian energy is positively expressed, there is an interest in adopting innovations and modernization using science, technologies, and progressive ideas that reshape and restructure society. When Aquarian energy is “out of phase,” it can have destructive repercussions. Rebellious social and political movements based on exclusionary group associations ( us vs. them thinking) can create social upheavals, violently overthrow governments, or cause catastrophic events to achieve radical change.

With Pluto in Aquarius, we should expect to see communities, governments, and global institutions finally addressing and adapting to the climate change crisis. Climate change will radically alter society. There will be a push towards modernizing infrastructures using the latest technological advancements to help mitigate the damage of climate change. There will be an acceleration of scientific knowledge and improvements in computer, space technology, medicine, and architecture. Pluto’s influence on banking and financial structures suggests that this Pluto transit will see new monetary systems developed, the expansion of digital currency, and possibly the elimination of cash. Will capitalism continue to dominate the world markets? What will happen as AI becomes more ubiquitous? Will societies choose UBI to help workers who lose their jobs to AI?

The reshaping of politics in some countries will involve accepting progressive ideals, while other nations with a stronger sense of “tribalism” may gravitate toward the social control provided by authoritarianism. If governments and global organizations fail to fulfill their commitments to reduce reliance on fossil fuels, we may witness the radicalization of groups and organizations that engage in protests, potentially leading to a shift towards violence to compel government action.

People Power

In open societies, we should see more interest in lifestyle changes that empower individualism. We should see people demanding more equality. Growth in associations and groups that emphasize cooperating on shared ideals and agitating for social change. More people possibly advocating for society to be more tolerant and accepting of unique individualism. A breakdown of traditional gender roles and a rejection of gender stereotypes, more understanding of the fluidity of gender, a rise in feminism, and more female leaders. We should see more communal living, non-monogamist relationships, and more focus on valuing friendships and networking socially and politically.

Pluto in Aquarius should bring workers together. We should see a profound shift in the way we work. Expect to see workers demanding stronger Unions, better pay, and better working conditions. Also, innovative and experimental work cooperatives and more worker-owned businesses. Working from home will become the norm.

In closed societies where people live under authoritarian regimes, the Saturnian side of Aquarius could become more oppressive, using technology to spy and control large groups of people. Technological Dystopian Conditions.

The overall theme during Pluto’s transit through Aquarius will focus on whether humanity can cooperate, create, and implement solutions that will save us from what currently appears to be an inevitable climate crisis, which could lead to catastrophic consequences for all of humanity and future generations. To prevent this crisis, we must break down “borders” culturally, physically, mentally, and socially; there needs to be global cooperation to discover solutions. To survive, humanity must reinvent itself.

Fellow Travelers in Resistance

Unconventional Uranus and the more conventional Saturn are co-rulers of the sign Aquarius. The cosmic rebel Uranus entered earthy and sensible Taurus on May 15, 2018, and will remain through April 27, 2026 (it will briefly enter Gemini from July 1 to November 2025). We last saw Uranus in Taurus between 1934 and 1941 when the world had to deal with the fallout of the Great Depression and the horrors of the Second World War.

Currently, Uranus in Taurus is disrupting value systems, impacting financial markets, and causing inflation. We are seeing the beginning of a shift from more traditional monetary systems to alternatives like Bitcoin, new markets emerging like environmental investing (ESG), and a demand from the public for more sustainable products.

Uranus in Taurus started in 2018 when Pluto was in Capricorn, a fellow earth sign. The two outer planets have similar interests and goals, both push the collective unconscious to address the physicality of being a spirit in a human body.

Now that Pluto has entered into Aquarius, a fixed air sign, and Uranus is still in Taurus, a fixed earth sign, they both lean towards resisting change.

Additionally, the late degrees of Taurus will have Uranus transiting into the Pleiades (the late degrees of Taurus are called the “Weeping Sisters” ) expect increased resistance to change and at the same time extreme climate catastrophic events that shake the foundation of the world.

Winds of Change: Uranus in Gemini & Pluto in Aquarius 2025 to 2033

Uranus spends 7 years in a sign and takes 84 years to complete its cycle around the sun. The last time we saw Uranus in Gemini was in 1941-1949 the Second World War ended and the Cold War began. Uranus in Gemini usually heralds new methods of communication, transportation, educational reforms, and the expansion of social networks.

With Uranus moving into Gemini, a mutable air sign, and heading to a trine (the late 2020s – 2030) with Pluto in Aquarius, the collective unconscious will be ready to embrace new ideas and new technologies, and society will undergo radical changes. Saturn enters Gemini in 2031 -32, and the ideas of Uranus in Gemini and the vision of Pluto in Aquarius will take root and find worldwide adoption.

Will we see the Age of Aquarius or the New Dark Ages?

Pluto entering Aquarius will provoke a power struggle between the powerless proletariat and the established aristocracy/ oligarchy. Aquarius represents humanity, the Water Bearer is a forward thinker, a rational idealist who embraces science, knowledge, and innovation, and seeks to reform society. Reforms often take place through painful revolutions. The first three years of Pluto transiting Aquarius while Uranus is transiting in Taurus will be difficult. There will be resistance to change. Pluto in Aquarius will confront the power structures using innovative ideas and concepts. Aquarius will fight to dismantle unjust social hierarchies and systematic abuses in fundamental institutions. There will be pushback, and revolutionizing society can get ugly and violent. Climate change disasters will start to escalate, and people will begin to panic. ~ Don’t Panic ~

When Uranus enters Gemini, there will be a shift, and people will become more receptive to new ideas regarding the Aquarian themes of freedom, equality, and social reform. Uranus and Pluto, traveling through two of the most creative signs of the zodiac, should bring about scientific breakthroughs that will hopefully help us address humanity’s most challenging problems.
