2020: The Reckoning of Saturn and Pluto: Brothers at War

Lord of Time and Karma, Saturn entered Capricorn on December 20, 2017, heading towards a fateful conjunction with his brother and nemesis, lord of the underworld, Pluto on January 12, 2020. Historically whenever these brothers have been in aspect to one another the world has had to face challenges that have led to enormous societal changes.

The last time that Saturn/Pluto conjoined in Capricorn was over 500 years ago. The two brothers meet every 33 – 38 years. Sometimes they make three conjunctions with one another. When they make a triple conjunction the world experiences an “implosion of events”; wars, famine, and plague are common manifestations.

The triple conjunction of 1914 – 15 saw World War 1 begin as Saturn and Pluto conjoined in Cancer, throwing most of the world into chaos. The tail end of that Saturn/Pluto conjunction brought a worldwide pandemic called the Spanish Flu.

The Saturn/Pluto of 2020, will be single conjunction and be influential for two years until 1/31/21. The conjunction might act as a triple because Jupiter will be transiting in Capricorn nearby and Jupiter will amplify the already powerful connection.

The next triple conjunction of Saturn/Pluto conjunction will occur 2053-2054.

***As we now know the Saturn / Pluto conjunction wreaked havoc on the entire world when the virus Covid – 19 infected every continent and every country quickly killing millions of people. We should remember that the Saturn/Pluto conjunction has a two-year influence and will continue to influence world events. For Americans, this conjunction has been very challenging because the United States is preparing for its natal Pluto return. (More on that later in 2022)
